Body weight, Banns and Banter!

Sunday was lovely :) We got up after an hours less sleep thanks to the turning back of the clock, got dressed up all smart and headed off to Church. :) We'd been told to turn up before ten, as our Banns would be being read first. When we got there, the congregation were already singing. We were convinced we'd missed it. Thankfully they did it right at the end instead :)


It was really strange, i was so nervous and i knew there was no reason to be! They called both of our full names and pointed us out to everyone :p It was a mixture of embarrassing, nerve racking and exciting :)

After church we pottered off to Thorsby Market and wandered round for a couple of hours :) Had a bite to eat when we got there and did lots of chatting and giggling :) Adam bought me 3 new dresses for our honeymoon :) <3

We nipped home quickly to wrap Harveys present and write his card, and then went to his 2nd birthday party which was lovely :)

When we got home we just chilled for a bit while Adam watched the match, then we nipped to south forest to pay some more of the wedding off, then went to the Dukeries for dinner :) So it was a rather lovely day :)



I been working out loads lately and eating really healthily, 200 sit ups a day, jogging, swimming, salad etc and we took all my measurements today, i have lost 5.5lb in 2 weeks!!! eeek! Im so excited! Wish it would come off faster though!

Must try harder :p

Living the dream??

Anyone who knows me well will know that it has always been a big dream of mine to travel to have a gap year, and travel to poor countries to work in orphanages, teach in schools and help to build communtites.
At the moment, there are two main things which are stopping me:
*Relationships
*Money

After the wedding i am going to start a 'Living the dream' fund. I plan on putting a minimum of £5 per week to one side, to save for a trip of a lifetime.
The relationship side to it is a little more difficult. Ideally i would like to go for about 6 months, but would make do if i could do 3 weeks, but maybe once a year for a few years.
I would find it incredibly difficult to leave my family, especially Adam. So either, we would have to try and save double and work around jobs to allow us both to go, or we could have to come up with an effective way of communicating whilst i was away.

However i get there, i need to make sure it happens at some point in my life. I need to get out there and make a difference, i will not be content until i have done that.

I feel blue :(

Im fed up. Iv spent months trying a number of 'sensible' diet plans and got nowhere. Im done with doing it the sensible way now. It has achieved nothing. I refuse to spend whats meant to be the happiest day of my life feeling fat and horrible. I have 11 weeks to go, and want to lose AT LEAST 1 stone, if not 1.5 by then. I will do it! Nomatter what it takes i will do it.

Just a quickie :)

Only a quick update tonight.. Had a rather nice day at work today, other than spending the first two hours with the alarm going off, it flew by.. didnt go for lunch til 2:45, only had 25 mins so i could leave early. After lunch i went straight to boots to type some work up for Liesl, had a bit of a chat with Karen and the girls while i was there :) Then got back to work at about 4:30, only having 25 mins left :)
I hopped on the 5pm bus, Adam picked me up at the bus stop, we nipped for a milkshake, then Adam left me in the (freezing) car for no less than an hour, while he went into Comet :) When he came out, he presented me with a beautiful Disney, pink netbook :)
Which is what im on now :)
I love it.
Now we can both be snuggled up on the sofa, he can game and i can blog :) Perfectimo :)
Got home to our little princess, played on some peppa pig games for a while, then brushed her hair when she got out of the bath, read her some bedtime stories and put her to bed :)
She's such a sweetie :)
Off to bed now so i can get up early to do my homework for contact lens training :/
Got to wear pink tomorrow too :)

Ugh, its been like a month!

Well im not even going to attempt to catch up on all the time iv missed :( I'll run through the main points quickly, but there is one reason iv decided to blog today and i'll tell u all about it in a minute.
At the start of Feb, i was really poorly again. Just in my stupid state where i dont know what im doing and cant concentrate on anything etc. Tried to fight it for a couple of days, continued to go to work, which appeared to make me worse, slept through the whole of my dinner breaks for a couple of days and went to bed at 7pm. Over the first few days i got more and more confused, to the point where i could hardly dress myself, until i went smack on my face at work, completely out of it. Scared them all to death, then spent an hour and a half in an ambulance. The paramedics were convinced that its a mixture of heavy stress/depression. Things from my past have just caught up with me, and adding all that ontop of the stress of the wedding, our current money situation and mum and mama being ill, just makes me switch off every few months and have a break down.
They were really helpful in the ambulance though, we got more help from them during that 90 minutes, than we did during the whole 5 days i spent in hospital last year!
They have told me a few different things to try, to try and stop it happening again, or to control it if it does. So fingers crossed on that one!

On a more positive note... Iv had my letter to say iv completed my course and will be getting my payrise!! :) My certificate has arrived too, which has taken pride of place on the wall at work :D
The payrise will be so useful in the run up to the wedding, and its made me really determined to whizz through my next course to get my next one :p

And heres the part iv been looking forward to blogging about:
We had the fittings for the little bridesmaids today! :D Bryony, Devon, Libby and Harry all together! They looked absolutely gorgeous!! It was quite emotional, they are all sooo sweet :')
They just tried random dresses on to get the sizes right. Its gonna look amazing :)
They all got on really well too, it was nice for them to all meet before the big day. Libby kept snuggling Devon, and she plonked herself next to Harry and started chatting and colouring with him :)
Then we went back to grandmas and she said 'Can i sit next to the girl with the red hair on your wedding day?' :')
Then, before we left, she said 'We're all best friends now!'
It was so nice to see them getting on so well. Me, mum, Devon, Harry, and Libby etc went back to grandmas after and they all sat playing with playdough together :)
Then, after some lunch with grandma we set off back to Mansfield and met Bryony and Steven at Jangos :)
They ran around in there for about an hour and burnt off some energy :) We joined them to play basket ball at one point which was fun :)
Then we dropped Barbie and Taz back home, nipped to the shop then came home :)
Bryony and i sat and played with her new Bratz game, then i read snow white to her and got her ready for bed :) She wore the new pajamas iv bought her :)
Just realised i havent mentioned this yet, Bryony and Steven are gonna be living with us now at weekends :) They only really moved in today but i totally love it already :)
Its awesome having a little princess to play with :) And it'll be nice for Ste and Adam to have some more time together :)
When we got home tonight Adam had painted Bryonys new room pink for her :) It looks lovely. My dads gonna bring my old bunk bed thing with the desk underneath on Thursday so we can set that up for her :) She's decided where most of her things are going to go, she's stuck some peppa pig stickers on her door and we've said we'll make her a 'Bryonys room' door sign tomorrow :)
Im really having to work hard to stop myself spoiling her rotten though. I just really really want it to be a complete princess room for her, to help her settle in.
Iv managed to get some bedding, posters and a little set of plastic drawers from a friend, which is really nice. And i bought her new pajamas, some more bedding, curtains, a set of drawers, a few new clothes, a princess book, some hair accessories, some wellies, a bratz game and a teddy :)
I keep seeing things that i want to get to make it better for her, but will hopefully be able to after the wedding :) One of my friends from Masque said she's got some stuff she'll bring for her too :)

Im really loving having her here :) Its gonna be sooo much fun :)

Joy by name, Joy by nature :'(

It was the funeral today. It was really hard. Seeing them carry the coffin in really brought me down to earth with a bump. I just cant get my head around the fact that she's gone. She was so bubbly and full of life the last time i saw her. She should have had so much time ahead of her.

We sang 'Easter Hymn' and 'You raise me up'. It was amazing to sing with the girls again.

Something really strange happened too, just as we all began to sing, a little black butterfly flew in and landed on the music stand :') Im not one who normally believes in 'signs' and things but i think that was something really lovely :)

There was a beautiful 'Order of Service' which had a really nice photo on the front and a picture of a penguin on the back :) She really loved penguins :) I brought her a cuddly one for christmas once :)
There were a couple of beautiful readings and poems which had everyone sobbing, it was pretty tough to see all my friends (and teachers) so upset. They were all so brave though.

I just hope Miss Nicol realised what a difference she made to us all. She taught me so much and i just wish i'd had a chance to thank her. She was a wonderful lady, taken from us way to soon, and im so thankful for all the amazing memories i have of her :')

Poorlyish :(

I hate fact that i STILL haven't been managing to find time in my busy little life to write my blog. But i guess it doesnt have to be everyday :( Once in a while will still be nice to look back on. :)
Im sooo poorly :(
Been off work yesterday and today and i really cant afford to be! :( Iv got a banging headache, temperature, incredibly sore throat and i keep coughing to the point where i either bleed or throw up :( I also havent slept for 4 days :( Bad times.
Im supposed to be singing at Miss Nicols funeral tomorrow and at the moment i have no voice :( Its going to be a pretty difficult day anyway without feeling like im about to cough myself into a coma :(
Cant believe how quickly the weeks are flying by! The weddings creeping up really fast! We've arranged for the bridesmaids to have their fitting on the 18th Feb, which will be a big job done :) Im realy looking forward to that.
God, im gonna be sooo ready for three weeks on honeymoon :) wherever it is that we're going :)
I cant wait!
Anyway, im gonna try and go back to bed and maybe actually get some sleep!

Exciting news! :D

Yo! Im not even going to attempt to go through everything thats happened since i last blogged! But anyway, i had the auditions for 'Masque' on Monday night! And i got the part of Sandy!! :D Went to rehearsal last night and we sat the dance for Bare Necessities! Which was great fun!
Iv spent the day doing loooads of housework today! Got loads done. Its put me in a really good mood :)
Now me and monkey are sat watching 'She's the man', then we'll be off for snuggles in bed :)

Ugh, its been a while since i last blogged again, Iv had a couple of really busy days, followed by really late nights and iv been exhausted! I promise i will blog when i get home from work tonight though!

Bad Times :(

Missed you :(

Well, i do apologise, i didnt manage to blog last night. Had a pretty weird evening, I hadnt taken my keys to work, so therefore couldnt get into the house once i got back to MV, So i went round to Adams mums. Had a pretty weird visit, then Adam picked me up.
We stayed at home for about ten minutes then Adam went round to see his mum. I watched a few soaps before becomming so tired i eventually slumped off to bed (alone) at about 10:30.
Adam got home at about half 11 and when he came up, we sat chatting for about an hour and a half. He then went off downstairs, and i tried to get back to sleep whilst feeling completely emotionally drained.
However, the rest of the day had been pretty positive. I had a random phone call at work from our new manager, who said she had a 'really exciting job for me', she asked for me to go straight round to boots, and to tell the others to 'expect to be without me for the entire afternoon'.
So i was kinda nervous/excited as i went rushing round to Boots.
It turns out, she has chosen to make me 'Customer Care Champion' :) Im going to get a new badge, and have quite a bit more responsability :) Iv got to start doing conference calls on Tuesday mornings, iv been given a huge wall which iv got to strip, and fill with a complete new display (For which iv got to do lots of research and get the figures and stats together).
So its all rather exciting really :)
Karen then gave me some money from the till and sent me off to partners to get some resources for my display :)
It made me laugh when i found out one of the reasons i was chosen to do this: A few months ago, i was bored at home one evening, so i started making a poster of all my work colleauges as cartoon animals. E.g Danny Donkey, Liesl Lamb, Milly Moose etc. I coloured them in and put a title over saying 'Our Team'.
Apparently this shows that i am creative and have 'great team spirit' :)

So.....
Today....

Of course, the 7:30 bus failed to turn up. So Vicki and i ended up cramming ourselves on the 8am bus with all the sweaty school kids.
That was, of course after sliding my way accross the park and carpark Bambi style!
The 8am bus finally got us into town at 9:20. Louise had exactly the same problem, therefore Ali was left waiting outside the shop, Keyless wondering where the hell everyone was. And the girl from Boots, Laura was completely on her own wondering when someone was going to turn up to cover!
I got to Boots at about 9:25, absolutely clueless of course, as iv never even seen their computer systems, filing system or pre-testing equipment before! So i dont think i was a great deal of help, although i tried my best!
I went back to D&A at about half 11, and spent all afternoon working on my display, which i really enjoyed :)

After work, i went to mums to hang out before my audition, and then head off again in the snow :)
When i got there i soon got chatting to the girl i was sat next to, she was really nice.
We didnt actually have to audition tonight, and its still not West Side Story im auditioning for, its a 'Songs from the Musicals' show. We were given a list of numbers that are going to feature, and we had to decide which parts we'd like to audition for on Monday night. So i put my name down for Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Sandy (Grease) and Maria (WSS).
So i'd better get practicing!

New day, new manager!

Its been a very strange day at work today. I actually quite enjoyed it, but it was very strange just being girls, and not many of us at that!
I just kept my head down and got lots of work done, which was suprisingly nice. Did lots in my workbook :)
Its frustrating, because im normally really chirpy, bouncing about the place, people always assume theres something wrong if im slightly less energetic or quiet! Today i just wanted to sit quietly and get some work done, thats all there was to it :)
We'd been expecting our area manager all day, and he popped in at like 5:10, just as we were wanting to start cashing up. He told us that we have now got the Boots manager as our manager too. Everyone was really quiet! None of us really know her that well yet, but she said she's gonna arrange private meeting with each of us so we get to know eachother, which i guess will be nice.

I walked to mums after work, and Adam was already there which was nice :)
We had Shepherds pie for tea and then sat and had a chat with mum :)
Now we're at home waching soaps (how thrilling our lives are) :p
I just cried at Coronation Street cos Kevin and Sally had to tell the girls that Sally has breast cancer ~ it was all rather familiar :(
Gonna stick a DVD on in a minute, then have a shower and get to bed :) Hoping to go swimming tomorrow night :) Not been for ages!

Our day together :)

Well, last night ended kinda strangely, Adam set the bedroom up with candles and relaxing music etc and gave me a proper massage :)(whilst watching sky sports news on mute over my shoulder of course <3
I fell asleep soon (ish :p) after ;p.
We both woke up at about 2am and ended up chatting for about 2 and a half hours, which was really nice :) Its been a while since we did that :)
I got up at about half 11 and got ready to go out, i woke Adam up at about 12:30 and we set off for McArthur Glen :)
We sat and had a jacket potato to warm us up first of all, then went round to the paper shop to get invitation supplies :)
We then went to Tesco's to get some envelopes and i got some wellies!! :)
When we got home, Adam started working on the invitations while i planned some stuff in my 'Wedding Companion' :)
At about 6, we nipped to the shop to get some stuff, and i made us egg cobs, followed by apple pie and custard for tea :)
I put Jane Eyre on and we carried on doing wedding stuff :)
Now, its 11:15 and iv got to get up super early in the morning cos i dont know whats happening with the buses while the weathers still bad :s
Not really looking forward to work tomorrow, but ah well. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

Not had a particuarly plesant day today really :( The snow was so deep the buses weren't running properly, so i didnt actually get to work until 11! :(
Even so, today seeriously dragged!
After work, i nipped to mums and borrowed her sledge :) Hopefully Adam and i will be out in the snow for a bit tomorrow :)
We're nipping to McArthur Glen tomorrow to try and get more paper and card for the invertations :)
Anywho, we're snuggled up on the sofa watching 'The Simpsons Movie' now, and iv been promised a candlelit massage later :) So im gonna shoot :)

Well, its been a while!

I cant believe how long its been since i wrote on here! Am i right in thinking i never even entered this site at all during the whole of 2009?

This is going to be another new years resolution! I think it'll be extra nice to keep this blog going this year cos we've got lots happening, with all the planning and the wedding etc :)

Anywho, so much has happened since i last blogged! New job, new lodger, new album, soo many new friends, and of course we are now only 4 months and 21 days from the big day!

We've got lots to do! Got to arrange to get the bridesmaids for dress fittings and the men for suit fittings this month. :) We're working on getting invitations out this week.

I now work at D & A Opticians in Mansfield, which was kind of a career change! I am really enjoying it so far though! Although our manager left today so things are gonna be rather weird for a while i think :s

Its snowed loads lately, its been really difficult to get into work, Adams only worked one day since breaking up before christmas on the 18th!!!

Some more exciting news: im going to Audition for 'West Side Story' next week, im hoping it goes well because id sooo love to get into performing again! I miss it so much!

2010 has, however not had a particuarly pleasant start to it so far :(

I recieved some rather sad news yesterday. Miss Nicol, a vocal tutor who taught me during my years in Cantamus passed away in the early hours of Tuesday the 5th. I cant believe it, it still hasnt sunk in. Apparently she had been fighting cancer for two years, i had no idea she was even ill! I just hope she realised how many lives she shaped, she was an incredibly lady with alot to give, and she put so much hard work and time into helping so many people. R.I.P Miss Nicol. My thoughts are with her family, especiall her little boy Ted, who is only 7 :'(

Apparently we are all supposed to be singing at her funeral, but we obviously dont know when that is yet.

Also, Mama has got to have her Kidney removed, which is a bit scarey, but she's a strong lady so im sure she'll be just fine.

So yeah, lots has happened over the past year, and we have so much to look forward to!
